What this form is
This form records an expression of interest only. It helps researchers identify programs whose size, mission, and setting fit a planned study. It does not enroll your organization in any study and creates no obligation.
What happens before any study
Ethics review comes first. An Institutional Review Board (IRB) approves the study, or determines that it is exempt, before any recruitment begins. Documentation of that review is available to you at first contact.
Your permission comes before any referral. AMSARC asks before sharing your contact details with a specific researcher. You may decline.
You receive a summary of the study. The summary covers its objectives and general design. An example would be a study of the factors that influence whether crew members report or withhold information about near misses.
Your organization decides. No study proceeds without written agreement from a person authorized to commit your organization.
Individuals choose for themselves. Crew members and staff provide their own informed consent where the study requires it and may decline without consequence.
Protecting your program
AMSARC refers your program only to studies whose researchers agree to the following terms.
Participating organizations are not named in publications unless they agree in writing.
Data access, storage, and sharing terms are set in a data use agreement before any data are shared.
Your organization can withdraw from a study at any time.
You can ask to be removed from this list at any time.
Before you write
This form asks about your program, not about specific events. Do not include patient information, accident or incident details, or names of individual crew members.
