Journal Directory

Where air medical safety research is published.

These are the peer-reviewed journals behind the Evidence Library. Sort them by how much air medical safety research they carry, how recently they published it, how often it is cited, and their impact factor. Select an article count to open that journal's papers in the library.

How this directory is built

  • Articles are the journal articles and letters in the Evidence Library. CONCERN Network bulletins, reports, theses, and conference papers are not counted. The library is curated, so a count shows how much of a journal's air medical safety work the library holds, not everything the journal has published.
  • Articles published under a former title count toward the journal's current title. Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine, for example, is counted under Aerospace Medicine and Human Performance.
  • Last 10 years counts articles published in 2017 or later. Op / clin shows how many of each journal's articles the library tags as operational safety and as clinical and patient safety. An article can carry both tags.
  • Citations are the number of times each library article has been cited, summed for each journal, from OpenAlex. The median per article appears under the total so that one heavily cited paper does not set a journal's position. Counts run lower than Google Scholar and differ from Scopus and Web of Science.
  • Impact factor is the Clarivate Journal Impact Factor for 2025, released in June of the following year. Journal Impact Factor is a product of Clarivate. A journal with no impact factor is not indexed in Web of Science's citation indexes, which says nothing about its quality or its fit for air medical work. An asterisk marks a value whose sources conflict or are incomplete.
  • Topics are the three library topic tags that appear most often for each journal. Journal names link to the journal's own website.
